Lanotec, the Australian-made leader in high-performance multi-purpose lubricants and protectants, is expanding its motorsport partnerships to support the immensely popular Hyundai Excel class in the Victorian State Race Series.
The one-make category has grown massively in recent years, with its low cost of entry and close racing attracting hundreds of competitors across the nation.
In recent years, the Hyundai Excel Racing Association of Victoria (HERA) has emerged as a must-watch portion of the Vic State Race Series program, which is streamed live via the popular Blend Line TV platform, with large fields engaging in doorhandle-to-doorhandle racing.
This year, the series takes in events at Sandown Raceway, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Winton Motor Raceway, and Calder Park Raceway, which was a popular addition to the calendar last year.
The support from Lanotec also extends to the full HERA club championship, plus supporting Victorian competitors when they race interstate at major meetings, with cars carrying the company’s distinctive green branding.
“Racers and fans around the country have grown to love Hyundai Excel racing, and Lanotec is excited to get behind the category in Victoria,” said Robert Doncon, Lanotec General Manager.
“Over the years, we have been drawn to various forms of motorsport, be it circuit racing, power boats, motocross and more, because, in the competition arena, we can truly push our products to the extreme.
“We pride ourselves in having developed a range that exceeds expectations and is designed to perform in the harshest environments, from marine oil rigs and mining equipment right down to products for the home handyman and workshop.
“Through Excel racing, we can talk to a large grassroots audience who are passionate about motorsport.”
Over the years, drivers to have sampled Excel racing include stars such as Brodie Kostecki, Will Brown, Tim Slade, Declan Fraser, Zane Goddard, Paul Morris, Jonathon Webb, John Faulkner, Steven Johnson, Chelsea Angelo, Jordan Boys, Zak Best, Kai Allen, Melinda Price and more.
Meanwhile, the class has also provided a grounding for up-and-comers, including Broc Feeney, Nash Morris, Jett Johnson, Mason Kelly, Ben Bargwanna, Michael Clemente, Max Vidau, Bailey Hall, Ben Grice, Jordan Caruso, Jordyn Sinni, and Cooper Webster amongst many, who have learned the ropes as category regulars.
Elsewhere in the motorsport world, Lanotec supports Brad Jones Racing Supercars endurance driver Jay Robotham in both his Australian and Thailand racing programs, where he is a regular competitor in the Lanotec-backed Ford Mustang and Ranger.
Robotham started his motorsport journey in Hyundai Excels and continues utilising the class to stay sharp between his top-tier races to this day.
The brand also supports TV identity Glenn Ridge in his tarmac rallying exploits, while in the motocross world, Lanotec supports Western Australian young gun Nate Tomerini and Twist It Moto’s Gavin Heggs.
Lanotec’s products are made from all-natural lanolin and have been specifically designed to outlast and outperform the competition, while being safe to use in environmentally sensitive locations.
Available in various formulations for different applications, specialist products include MPX for everyday use, MGX for marine applications, EGX for the electrical trade, Steal-Seal, a popular choice for protecting 4WDs and machinery, Wire Rope Lube, welding Anti Spatter, greases and Release Agent for use around concrete formwork, amongst others.
The perfect companion to the liquid lanolin-based range is Lanotec Citra-Force, an organic industrial-strength cleaner and natural degreaser, which safely cleans a wide range of finishes, including aluminium, stainless steel and anodised surfaces without streaking.
The Lanotec Hyundai Excel Vic State Race Series kicks off at Sandown Raceway on February 16-18, with the category also supported by SIMRIGS.com, Specialised Engineering, Brakes and More, plus Racing Image.
